An intimate gig, dubbed ‘Savannah Sounds on the Reef’, will be staged on the Great Barrier Reef to increase awareness of this year’s ‘Savannah in the Round’, a country music event with growing acclaim hosted in Tropical North Queensland. Supported by the Australian and Queensland Governments as part of post-Cyclone Jasper recovery efforts, 'Savannah Sounds on the Reef' will bring together high-profile Australian artists including Sheppard and Lee Kernaghan.

For James Dein, live music is in his blood and he would rather be up front and centre to get a real sense of what the punters experience, plus the sound and acoustics are way better there. Savannah in the Round is his inspired creation, aiming to bring some of the best local and international acts to the region over several days, but it's been the years of experience and expertise, trials and tribulations, putting on shows and events that have allowed him to do this.

Following a massively successful debut, Australia’s most exciting new music and camping festival Savannah in the Round officially returns to Tropical North Queensland in 2022, featuring a line-up packed with the best country, rock, roots and pop acts from Australia and overseas.
