19-Twenty formed on the South Coast of N.S.W with a simple conviction: that blues, rock, and roots — played with honesty and a bit of controlled chaos — could move people in ways that nothing polished ever could. No click tracks. No safety net. Just three humans locked in a room together until something undeniable came out.
What followed was ten+ years of late-night drives, sticky pub floors, festival main stages, and a touring schedule that would break lesser men. They've played Bluesfest. They've torn through Blues on Broadbeach. They've built a following the old-fashioned way — one show, one sweat-soaked encore, one converted sceptic at a time.
The music is rooted in the blues but refuses to stay there. It borrows from rock. It steals from soul. It sounds like it was written at 2am and performed like the world ends at midnight. Which, when you're watching them live, feels entirely plausible.
Call It What You Want — their latest album — is the sound of a band that's done the hard yards and is finally enjoying the view.
