Why Volunteer?

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Savannah in the Round. By joining our crew, you’ll play a vital role in bringing
this incredible festival to life—helping create unforgettable experiences for artists, audiences and fellow crew
alike.
Volunteering is not only deeply rewarding, it’s also a fantastic addition to your CV. Best of all, it’s loads of fun:
you’ll meet incredible people, work behind the scenes, and enjoy world-class music in a truly unique outback
setting.

Before You Apply

Please take a moment to:

Review the minimum requirements below.
If you’re employed, tentatively request leave for the festival period.
Check for any clashes with study, family, travel or other commitments.
If you have already purchased tickets, please note that they are non-refundable if you are later accepted as a
volunteer.

How to Stand Out

We love volunteers who bring energy and flexibility. You don’t need prior experience (though it’s great if you
have it), but applications shine when they show:

A willingness to be flexible with roles and availability.
Relevant skills (e.g. customer service, retail, trades, event work).
A positive attitude and genuine enthusiasm.

Minimum Requirements

To be part of the Savannah crew, you must:

Be available for the full festival period of Thursday 8 – Sunday 11 October 2026. Volunteers working during
the festival must be available across all four days; some teams also operate during setup and pack-down
outside these dates.
Commit to 16 hours across 2-4 days (depending on your chosen role).
Be 18 years of age or older at the time of the festival.
Bring a positive, proactive attitude.
Represent the festival in a friendly, respectful and professional manner at all times.
Have a basic understanding of, and respect for, workplace health and safety.
Be comfortable working in warm conditions (daily highs may reach 30°C+).
Be available to attend a pre-festival briefing (online or on-site).

Volunteer Package

In return for your time and energy, each volunteer receives:

A Season Festival Ticket for Savannah in the Round.
An Unpowered Campsite in the volunteer campground.
Early access to the campgrounds – volunteers may arrive from Tuesday 6 October, ahead of general public
access on Wednesday.
A souvenir Crew T-Shirt.
And, of course… the experience of a lifetime.

Preferred Role

Please indicate your preferred area(s). Volunteers will have the opportunity to select their preferred role during onboarding. However, indicating your interests here helps us plan ahead and ensure we place people where they are most comfortable and effective.

Site Set Up & Pack Down — Primarily pre- and post-festival. Support bump-in and bump-out operations, including infrastructure, staging and site preparation.
Campground & Car Park Marshalling — Primarily during the festival, with some teams commencing pre-festival. Direct vehicles, assist campers, and help maintain safe, orderly traffic flow.
Site Maintenance — Festival period. General upkeep of festival grounds, including waste management, resetting tables and chairs, and keeping shared spaces tidy and welcoming.
Ticketing — Primarily festival period, with some teams commencing pre-festival. Front-line guest services, ticket scanning, and assisting patrons at entry points.
Retail — Festival period. Merchandise and ice stalls, including customer service and point-of-sale transactions.
Shuttle Bus Driver — Festival period. Transport patrons between key locations. (LR license required. Must also hold, or be willing to obtain, a General Drivers Authority.)
Admin — Festival period. Crew support, patron assistance, and ticket sales.
